About the Electrical Unit Converter
Voltage (volts) is the electrical pressure, current (amperes) is the flow of charge, and power (watts) is their product for a resistive load: 230 V × 10 A = 2,300 W.
In alternating-current systems, apparent power (VA) includes both the useful real power (W) and reactive power (VAR) that oscillates between source and load. Transformers and UPS units are therefore rated in kVA.
Battery capacity is often given in milliamp-hours; multiply by the battery voltage to get watt-hours, which is the figure airlines and energy calculations use.
